Digital Preservation

Digital Preservation Policy

Swadaya: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all articles published in the journal. Digital preservation is essential to ensure that scholarly content remains accessible despite technological changes or system failures. Our digital preservation strategies include:

1. Multiple Storage Locations

All published articles are digitally stored in several secure locations, including:

- The official journal website using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
- Institutional backup servers.
- Secure cloud storage services.

2. Use of DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

Each article is assigned a DOI to ensure permanent identification, facilitate citation, and enable long-term access and traceability.

3. Regular Backups and Disaster Recovery

Journal content is regularly backed up and stored securely. We maintain a disaster recovery plan to restore data in the event of system failure or loss.

4. Metadata Preservation

Complete metadata for each article (title, author(s), abstract, keywords, references, etc.) is preserved and secured to ensure discoverability through search engines and academic indexing services.

5. Self-Archiving and Repository Access

Authors are permitted to archive the final published version (publisher’s version) of their articles in institutional repositories, national repositories (such as Garuda), or other digital archives.

6. Format Compatibility

We actively monitor the development of digital file formats and are prepared to migrate content to newer formats as needed to ensure ongoing accessibility.
