This community service program aimed to improve the competence of history teachers in the History Subject Teachers’ Forum (MGMP) of South Lampung Regency in developing local history teaching modules based on Transformative–Historical Consciousness (TRANS-HIS). The program was held on 27–28 August 2026 at SMA Kebangsaan, South Lampung Regency, and involved 20 teachers. It used a participatory approach through counseling sessions, training, discussions, workshops, hands-on practice, simulations, and mentoring. The material covered TRANS-HIS, historical consciousness, verstehen, the use of local history, and the design and implementation of teaching modules. Evaluation was carried out through a pre-test, a post-test, portfolios, observation, and a response questionnaire. The results showed that the average score rose from 67.80 on the pre-test to 88.50 on the post-test, an increase of 20.70 points (30.53%). The program also improved teachers’ understanding of TRANS-HIS and their skills in developing local history modules that are contextual, reflective, and applicable. Training based on TRANS-HIS can therefore serve as a strategy for strengthening teachers’ professional competence, making history learning more meaningful and developing students’ verstehen and historical consciousness.
