Handwashing with soap is a simple yet effective practice for preventing infectious diseases in early childhood. However, its implementation at TK Cendekia Tadulako, Palu, remained suboptimal due to limited knowledge, inadequate facilities, and the absence of accessible handwashing soap. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of students and teachers through education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) integrated with training in producing natural hand soap from local fruit extracts: pineapple (Ananas comosus), orange, and grape (Vitis vinifera). The program employed a participatory-educative approach combining counseling, hands-on demonstration, and direct practice (learning by doing). Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments covering cognitive (knowledge) and psychomotor (handwashing skills) aspects. The resulting natural hand soaps exhibited excellent foam stability (93.75–96.00%) and skin-safe pH values (5.0–5.5). The cognitive aspect increased from 46.81% to 70.21% (N-Gain = 0.44, moderate category), while the psychomotor aspect improved from 46.81% to 80.85% (N-Gain = 0.64, moderate category). These results demonstrate that integrating natural soap production with PHBS education effectively enhances both knowledge and practical handwashing skills in early childhood settings while providing a sustainable, low-cost sanitation solution for the school.
